El Burrito Rey

I was in the area for jury duty and saw the Fajitas were a favorite here and I had a big appetite so I had to try, Big Mistake the meat was not even chewable basically a choke hazard just waiting and not a lot of flavor . Unfortunately after I spent close to $20 on the dinner I wasn’t going to order something else so vending machine back at the courthouse it is! The rice and beans were very good and the food they show looks delicious also the customer service was good just wish my first impression wasn’t so upsetting. Word of advice make sure the meat is cooked properly before serving (especially when it is one of the most expensive items on the menu) The picture shows how much I ended up throwing away, No bueno!

Not good. I really wanted a delicious taco. I ordered the fish taco and a burrito with fries. The taco tasted extra fishy. The burrito was soupy and lukewarm. The taco was hot. The french fries were hot. The waitress/cashier was not friendly or accommodating. I return several times to ask for condiments, napkins flatware and sauce for my tacos. I dined in, the atmosphere was clean. The cook helped me more than the actual waitress/cashier. I’ve dined here twice before. Each time hoping the next time would be better it was not. The menu board looks delicious flashes of different entrées They serve. That was not my experience. Lack luster, food, and taste. I will not return to this location.

The food is tolerable, the cost of food is priced correctly. The lady at the counter however is very unfriendly and makes you feel like it's a chore for her to take your order. Customer service goes a long way... I cannot reply to the owner's statement so to clarify, I went to the restaurant on Monday approximately 4 pm. Customer service was still horrible.

Looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food?!! Well look no further, this is the place… I promise. My boyfriend and I have officially added El Burrito Rey to our “list” of regular places we order from and we crave it all the time! I could eat an entire bowl of their Mexican rice it’s so good. The beef tacos with onion & cilantro are to die for and the 3 taco dinner is my go to order. Generous portions & fair prices make it even better. Give it a try I do not think you will be disappointed :)

Guys if you are ever in Oak Forest and you are looking for traditional Mexican style food please look no further this family-owned business has been in business for over 30 years I am happy to say I am reoccurring customer as I have had vegetarian tacos I have had the chicken burrito and because I am lactose intolerant they make sure to not have any sour cream or cheese whenever I order whenever I go inside they know me by name and they recognize my face it makes you feel good and let you know that you're not just a profit for them but you feel like family when you come inside I had a family gathering and I ordered a few trays so when I came to pick up everything there was a gentleman that came from the back to tell me you can get inside of your vehicle please pop your trunk and I will put everything in your back trunk for you I thought that was amazing world-class customer service and I definitely had a great turnabout with my family everyone simply love the elotees that I brought I got a pan of chicken steak and beef tacos I also got a pan of refried beans I also got yellow rice plenty of salsa my whole entire family were blown away by the authentic taste of it so don't be surprised when you are flooded with tons of patrons that say I referred them I do believe that is so important to recognize and share good business to others that are seeking it and also delivering world-class service like world class customer service is so easy to give yet it's so hard to find it El Burrito Rey capitalizes on that I will be coming back a lot LOL and I will make sure I bring new people to the location thank you guys for being such a pillared in the community I appreciate all you guys do and what you guys represent
